Inbound and Outbound Trips on the Rise

During this Spring Festival holiday, numerous Hunanese traveled abroad while many foreigners came to Hunan to enjoy a local-style Spring Festival.

According to the Changsha Customs, the number of international flights that were supervised during the 7-day holiday by it reached 355, increasing by 16% over last year. The number of the inbound and outbound trips reached 56,741, a year-on-year growth of 20%.

There were 343 international flights operated through the Changsha Huanghua International Airport, increasing by 14.9% over last year’s holiday. The inbound and outbound trips amounted to 55,189, increasing by 16.7%. The Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport operated 12 international flights, increasing by 50%. The inbound and outbound trips amounted to 1,552, rising by 17%.

Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia were popular destinations for Hunan tourists. Meanwhile, Hunan’s splendid landscapes, especially picturesque Zhangjiajie, attracted tourists from Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe, America, and Oceania.

During the holiday, the Changsha Customs streamlined customs clearance procedures, and improved services, to guarantee a smooth and efficient customs clearance. Beyond that, WeChat and Alipay were available for parcel tax payment, which cut the payment time to several seconds. Next, intelligent systems will be used to further facilitate customs clearance.
