Zhangjiajie to Build Friendly Relations with Cambodian and Laotian

Zhangjiajie Vice Mayor Yong Yan led a delegation to Siem Reap and Sihanoukville of Cambodia, and Louangphabang of Laos between May 20 and May 27, 2017. He signed MoUs of cooperation with the three provinces respectively. 

Siem Reap Vice Governor Sang Riha, and Sihanoukville Vice Governor Yun Min welcomed more Chinese travelers to visit Cambodia. Taking the opportunity of building friendly relations with Zhangjiajie, they expected to enhance mutual visits of students, businessmen, and teaching staff between Zhangjiajie and the two places. 

Louangphabang Vice Governor Vong Sha Vanh introduced the Kwang Si Waterfall in Laos, a world natural heritage, and their tourism-oriented economy. China has made a large amount of investments in the province, he said, adding that after establishing ties with Zhangjiajie, both sides will enhance multiform exchange and cooperation in the areas of tourism, economy, trade, culture, and education. Furthermore, government and businesses collaboration will be promoted to achieve complementation. 

Vice Mayor Yong stated that Zhangjiajie, a world natural heritage and world geopark, has similarities with the Angkor Wat in Siem Reap and the Kwang Si Waterfall. He expected to enhance tourism, economic and trade, cultural, and educational exchange and cooperation with Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Louangphabang, to promote common development and prosperity.
