2017-05-20 09:27:06  ENGHUNAN

Breathtaking terraced fields, splendid karst caves and mountains, cool local martial arts, profound Huxiang culture and delicious Xinhua food make Loudi a bright pearl in central Hunan.

Located in central Hunan Province, Loudi is surrounded by mountains and water, these contributing to its picturesque landscape. Tourist attractions in Loudi include Dacheng Mountain, Boyue Cave Scenic Area, Meijiang River Scenic Area, Daxiong Mountain National Forest Park, and Longshan National Forest Park. In addition, the over 1000-year-old Ziquejie terraced fields in the high mountain display the strength and wisdom of Loudi’s past ancestral inhabitants. It has been listed as a national cultural heritage.

These time-honored cultural sites can be seen as the cradle of the rich culture of Hunan and Meishan culture in Loudi. The three main tourist attractions-Meijiang River, Shuifu Temple and the former residence of Zeng Guofan-are quiet, secluded, yet tranquil and elegant. Today Loudi, known as the "world’s antimony capital", "100-mile coal sea" and "10-mile Iron City", is witnessing a rise of industrial tourism with its newfound commercial glamour.
