Over 20-bln-yuan Projects Inked at Hunan C-Tourism Promotion Conference

A promotion conference on cultural tourism was co-organized by the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Tourism and the Office of Hunan Provincial People’s Government in Shenzhen during the 12th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair on May 13, 2016. Superior tourism projects were introduced to Hunan entrepreneurs, aiming at attracting them to return to and build their hometown. Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Zhang Wenxiong, Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Bureau of Tourism GaoYangxian, and over 600 Hunan entrepreneur representatives and tourism investors attended the conference.

Zhang said that Hunan tourism industry has achieved total revenue of 371.2 billion yuan, of which 17.1 billion yuan was attributed to cultural industry, making “culture plus tourism” a new growth pole for the tourism industry. He expected that Hunan entrepreneurs in Shenzhen could take such advantages to enhance communication and cooperation, and to invest and seek fortunes in Hunan. Gao then specially introduced 15 representative cultural tourism projects featuring different regional characteristics of Hunan Province, including the cultural tourism industrial belt along the Liuyang River and the ancient town clusters along the Xiangjiang River.

100 related projects worth of 224.9 billion yuan were promoted at the conference. In which, 13 major projects were inked at a total contracted value of 21.758 billion yuan.
