Sanyuesan Girls’ Day Kicks off in Hongjiang,Yuanling

The China (Hongjiang) “Sanyuesan”(the third day of the third month in the Chinese lunar calendar) Girls’ Day 2016 was kicked off at Qianyang Ancient Town, a national 4A scenic area, on the evening of April 8, 2016. Numerous visitors gathered to enjoy the folk custom feast.

According to the schedule, all of the guests had the chance to be invited to eat eggs boiled with Capsella bursa-pastoris (known by its common name shepherd's-purse), and rice cooked with wormwood at the same time on April 9. Besides, 13 folk customs activities were scheduled to be displayed at scenic areas of Qianyang Ancient Town, Furong Tower, Zhonggu Tower, Nanzheng Street, and Eastern Gate.
