Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town to Initiate Restoration Work

The Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town scenic area in Huaihua announced on April 12 that building enterprises across the country are sincerely invited to restore its ancient building complex.

“Yanyu (misty rain) Hongjiang” Project, the phase I of the restoration project on Hongjiang Ancient Commercial Town, focuses on protection of cultural relics. The restoration work will observe the principle of preserving the historical features of the town, maintaining the original appearances of ancient dwellings erected during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the Republic China period, renovating docks, so as to revitalize the luxurious lifestyle of wealthy merchants.
