The 14th Hunan Cultural Relics Expo Kicks Off

The 14thHunan (International) Cultural Relics Expo was officially launched on the morning of Oct. 21.

The launching ceremony coincided with a Cultural Relics Exhibition taking place from Oct. 21 to 25 at the fourth floor of Dalu Zhenbao (Treasure) Antique Market. More than 200 collections provided by Hunan Provincial Museum, Changsha Municipal Museum and collectors across the country are exhibited at the occasion. It is learned that even one collection alone is worth nearly one million yuan. Over 3,000 exhibitors from home and abroad and more than 30,000 antique enthusiasts are going to participate in the Expo.

An antique lover appreciates the item displayed at the preview of the 2015 autumn antiquities & artifacts auction on Oct. 21.

A set of jadeware of Warring States Period (475 - 221 BC) make debuts at the 14th Hunan (International) Cultural Relics Expo.

A wooden statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, carved by royal craftsmen in late Ming and early Qing dynasties, amazes visitors at the expo.
