Director of the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Hunan Province Xiao Bailing met in Changsha with the Japanese Embassy Minister of Economic Affairs Hayashi Teiji and his delegation to exchange ideas on the development and economic cooperation of Hunan and Japan.

Director Xiao said that in 2014, import and export trade between Hunan and Japan reached 1.52 billion USD, an increase of 38%. The revenue from contracted projects in Japan hit 41.86 million USD, while Japanese investments of 16 projects in Hunan increased 77.8%. Ms. Xiao expects the two parties to continue cooperating in tourism, culture, and education.
