Zhangjiajie Invites Tourists to Plant Trees
2016-12-20 18:03:24

The fourth season of Tree-planting Campaign in Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Spot was launched on March 7. 100,000 visitors will be invited across the world to plant trees and alleviate poverty-stricken farmers at Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. All participants would enjoy permanent VIP privileges as well as a free visit to the scenic spot for the rest of their life.

The activity has attracted numerous visitors from various countries including America, Thailand and South Korea since launched in 2012. After three-year development, barren mountain forests and dry land near the scenic spot have been converted into high-quality fruit-bearing forests. The campaign hosted by the scenic spot has benefited both visitors and local farmers. Visitors have surprises and pleasures during tree planting, and farmers gain more incomes.

It was learnt that a total of over three million yuan has been injected into the campaign to help poor farmers since 2012.
