Fenghuang Ranks 2nd in China’s Most Beautiful Counties List 2014

The China Institute of City Competitiveness recently publicized the ranking list of China’s most beautiful counties in 2014. Dabu came 13th on the list, being the only chosen county in Guangdong province.

Yangshuo county in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region won first place on the list, followed by Fenghuang county in Hunan province, Tonglu county in Zhejiang province, Wuyuan county in Jiangxi province and Jiangzi county in the Tibet autonomous region.

The major characteristics of the chosen counties are rational planning and design, well-preserved historical sites, distinctive building types, profound cultural deposits and a beautiful natural environment.
