Hunan Dongkou Received an Honor as Home of Ancestral Temple in China

Wuliang Ancestral Temple, whose restoration was completed on July 21, stands at the Economic Development Zone of Dongkou County. Known as "Home of Ancestral Temple in China", Dongkou County of Hunan Province boasts hundreds of well-preserved ancient temple complexes. Having unique folk styles and geographic features, they each are noble, magnificent and awesome outside and exquisite, simple and elegant inside. The ancestral temples serve as miracles of vernacular architecture and historical and cultural heritages. Not long before, eleven temple complexes of the county were listed as key cultural relics sites under the state protection.
