Prime Minister of Denmark Praises Stunning Beauty of Zhangjiajie

Recently, the first female Prime Minister of Denmark Helle Thorning-Schmidt met with Peng Zhongmin, author of "Zhangjiajie in China", and chairman of the Denmark Photographers Association and a photographer for royal Danish families. During their meeting, the prime minister commended Zhangjiajie "incomparable" with its towering mountains and steep cliffs.

Publishied in Denmark in 2008, "Zhangjiajie in China" drew lots of attention in Northern European countries. Since then, three prime ministers of Denmark expressed their appreciation for the beauty of Zhangjiajie in public. The number of Danish tourists to the city increases year by year. In July, 2011, a couple from Denmark held a unique wedding ceremony featuring Tujia Minority customs in the Baofeng Lake scenic spot.

Holding the book in hands, the prime minister also expressed her desire to visit Zhangjiajie in the future.
