On June 17, source from Guangzhou Railway Group learned that high-speed rail from Hangzhou to Changsha of Shanghai–Kunming high-speed rail is planed to open in September, 2014 and thus at that time it will cost four hours to travel from Changsha to Hanghzhou by high-speed rail.

The total length of Hangzhou-Shanghai high-speed rail covers 933 kilometers with speed `target value of 350km/h. The operation time from Hangzhou to Changsha will be shortened to 4 hours from 6 hours.

According to the report, the railway transportation means from Hangzhou to Changsha are ordinary train and bullet train, including three ordinary trains between the two places, starting from Shanghai. It costs 12 hours from Hangzhou to Changsha. The only one bullet train–D105 from Hangzhou to Changsha starts from Shanghai and costs six hours.
