277 Hunan Enterprises Attend Guangzhou(Canton) Fair

The 113th Canton Fair, also known as  China Import and Export Fair, opened on April 15, 2013. This fair is highly acclaimed as a barometer of China's foreign trade.

Although with  59,531 booths, an increase of 22 over the last session, the fair witnessed a decline in its participants from 24,840 to 24,746. Hunan's 277 enterprises attended the fair and established 651 booths, rising by 3 and 1 respectively compared with the last session.

In the export exhibition area, 1,940 state-owned enterprises, 3,796 foreign-funded enterprises (Sino-foreign joint ventures, cooperative businesses, and exclusively foreign-owned enterprises), 278 collective enterprises, 16,360 private enterprises, and 1,810 other enterprises participated. In the import exhibition area 562 enterprises from 38 countries and regions were seen in attendance. The top five participating enterprises belong to South Korea, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, and Turkey.
