ZJJ Tujia New Year’s Customs Were showed on CCTV News

On the second day of lunar New Year, ZJJ Tujia New Year’s Customs were met with millions upon millions of audience on CCTV Moring News with broadcasting duration being as long as three minutes twenty seconds, which turned out to be the longest broadcasted program about customs of Tujia New Year that showed on CCTV Moring News.

To most of people, having a New Year’s Eve dinner is the most importing thing for family’s reunion. However, to Tujia people in ZJJ, what counts most is not the New Year’s Eve dinner but the New Year’s breakfast which is one of customs of Tujia people spending Spring Festival. On the eve of New Year, journalist of CCTV program “Holiday Observation•Attention on Folk Tourism” went into Wulingyuan District in ZJJ and recorded unique custom of Tujia New Year in ZJJ by taking Tang Wei and his family’s preparation of Tujia New Year’s breakfast, who is the host of Guanshanyue Hotel in Xibu Street, as the principal line , and meanwhile enjoyed bacon with passionate, simple-minded Tujia people and domestic and foreign tourists who lived in this hotel at the very day.

In recent years, ZJJ folk tourism has become a great important part in building world top brand of tourism. More and more overseas and domestic tourists have showed more special preference to folk custom of ZJJ than its unique natural scenery.
