Overseas Chinese to Enjoy Spring Festival Courtesy of Hunan

More than 120 returned overseas Chinese and their families, overseas Chinese, representatives from Hong Kong and Macao, and chiefs of departments regarding oversea Chinese gathered on February 2 to welcome the upcoming Spring Festival.

Liu Xiao, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, conveyed festival greetings and best wishes to the attendees, and expected them to support Hunan's construction and development in the new year as always.

In 2012, based on "Love China" activity, Hunan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (HFROC) carried out cultural exchanges on five occasions, highly praised by overseas Chinese at home and abroad. The federation led a group to participate in the 7th Expo Central China, hosted the First Trade and Promotion Month of Hunan Famous Products in Hong Kong and Exchange Meeting of Overseas Chinese from Hong Kong and Macao, and conferred plate for eight cultural relics regarding overseas Chinese including Huang Xing Former Residence and Huang Xing Tomb, strengthening the cultural bonds of overseas Chinese.
