First Session of 11th CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee Concludes

The closing meeting of the first session of the 11th CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee was held at the Hunan Great Hall of the People on the afternoon of January 29. Chen Qiufa was elected as chairman of the 11th CPPCC Hunan Committee with nine vice chairmen being Wu Jihai, Yuan Longping, Liu Xiao, Wang Xiaoqin, Yang Weigang, Zhang Dafang, Ouyang Bin, Tong Mingqian and Lai Mingyong.

The meeting proved very productive and saw the approval of a series of political documents including: the session's formal political resolution, a review of the work report of the standing committee of the 10th CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, a review of proposals processed by the 10th CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, a report on the review of proposals to the first session of the 10th CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and respectful letter to retiring members of the 10th CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee.
