Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge Will not Spoil the Natural Scenery
2016-12-20 18:00:37

ZJJ Responded to the Social Doubt: The Longest Glass Bridge in the World Will not Spoil the Natural Scenery.

The spreading of the news that Zhangjiajie will build the longest glass bridge on the earth leaded to broad attention and doubt. On November 30, 2012, the Scene Spot side claimed that new and compounded aerospace materials will be used in the construction of the bridge so that this “invisible bridge” will do no harm to the natural scenery.

To the doubt that whether this glass bridge project has been discussed by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and the World Heritage Association, Mr. Chen Zhidong, the person in charge of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, said that this bridge is located in Cili County, over 10 Km far from the core scenic spot of Wulingyuan. And Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is featured with the plank roads off the face of cliff, the creeks in the valley, etc. which is not in the list of world heritages and therefore it is not necessary to be discussed.

Chen also said that the design of this bridge is based on the idea of ecological environmental conservation and Mr. Haim Dotan, the architect, has the reputation of being the No. 1 architect in the ecological construction and has designed the Israel Museum in Shanghai World Expo. He once said in the on-the-spot investigation that it’s more than a perfect combination to build the longest glass bridge of the world in Zhangjiajie, the most beautiful place on the earth.
