The opening ceremony of the 15 th International Symposium on River and Lake Environments.

The 15th International Symposium on River and Lake Environments ( ISRLE) was held in Cili County, Zhangjiajie City on October 16, 2012. 260 scholars and experts from 11 countries and regions around the world attended the two-day conference. Themed with limnological transformation, the symposium aims to seek effective ways to tackle crises of water ecosystemen vironment.

Lectures on different topics are organized during the conference such as floodplain management & environmental water, aquatic plants & zoobenthos and micro organisms.

The conference offers a golden opportunity to enhance exchange between Chinese hydrobiologists and overseas experts and promotes the application of limnological knowledge in China's inland water management.
