ZJJ Independent-Tourists Ticket Sales Rate Reached 58.4% in Golden Week

Thanks to the preferential policy of expressway charge free in Golden Week, the number of independent tourists skyrocketed to a climax. Wulinyuan Resort had sold 213,000 tickets among which 88,700 were by travel agencies while the else by independent tourists, accounting for 58.4%.

Up to 24:00, on October 7, 2012, the access of Changde-Zhangjiajie expressway had receipted 36,000 private traveling cars while the Wulingyuan Resort actually receipted 39,000 cars and the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Administrative Office 13,000, covering almost all provinces and most of them from provinces such asHubei,Sichuan,Chongqing,Guizhouand so on.

During this period, 33 park sites, i.e. over 8,680 parking spaces, were available for independent tourists by car and most of them were charge free. Simultaneously, 30,000 pamphlets named Independent Driving Guide were distributed charge free as well. Moreover, 1,200 volunteers were also involved in the Golden Week, providing help at over 60 service points like the accesses of expressways, resorts, and other main roads. All was well by virtue of the fine arrangement and administration.
