Daily Reception of Tourist Spots in Hunan Surpasses One Mln

By 6:00 pm on October 3, 42 direct reporting tourist spots (sites) of Hunan have received 1.016 million tourists with tourism revenue standing at 86.01 million yuan, a year-on-year growth of 41% and 35.6% respectively. The top ten major tourist spots in terms of tourist arrivals are as follows: the core scenic spot of Wulingyuan, Yuelu Mountain, Shaoshan Mountain, Fenghuang Ancient Town, Langshan Mountain, Yueyang Tower, the Window of the World, the Underwater World, Junshan Mountain, the Emperor Yan Mausoleum and Furong Ancient Town. Thirty tourist spots had more than doubled the best daily reception capacity approved by the authority.

Even in the emerging tourist spots with fewer visitors previously, the number of tourists has increased dramatically. On October 3, the number of tourists in Yunyang Mountain of Zhuzhou has climbed by 2,477.78% over the same period of last year. The year-on-year growth rates of the box-office receipts have increased by more than three digits in 8 tourist spots including Dongjiang Lake and Suxianling.

Among the 42 tourist spots, 31 were beyond the optimum reception capacity with 16 tourist spots in excess of the maximum reception capacity. The number of tourists in the scenic area of Southern Mountain amounted to over 100,000.
