Yichang to Zhangjiajie Highway come into Operation

On September 26th, Yichang to Zhangjiajie highway construction officially starts. This project connects Wudang mountain, shennongjia, the three gorges dam, zhangjiajie, and so many famous tourist scenic spot together. It is known as “golden channel” between hubei and hunan. When it is completed, it will break wuling mountains between zhangjiajie and the Yangtze river, thus realizing 2 hours non-stop.

The highway begins at DangYang, hubei, and stoppes at CiLi, with a total length of 118.3 km, which estimated investment of 14.7 billion yuan. The average investment of every km is about 125 million yuan, mainly including five seats super large bridge, 900 meters of the Yangtze river bridge, 2 seats specialty tunnel. It is one of the items about highest single kilometers highway in hubei.
