The 11th "Chinese Bridge" Competition was held in Hunan

On July 11, the first round of the finals of "Chinese Bridge" Competition was held in Changsha. Through a fierce competition, 12 candidates stood out among 30 contestants and entered the next round.

According to the competition system, all contestants were streamed into five groups. The first place of each group would directly enter the second round of the finals. Later, the judges would select other 10 from the rest to give a talent show in the section of on-the-site canvassing. Finally, the judges would give each of them a mark based on their Mandarin, comprehensive language abilities and facial expressions. The top 5 would be qualified for the next round.

Sun Zhiwu in hanbok performed a sketch of selling kimchi and won the first place in the competition on the subject of delicious cuisines.

Madagascar girl Yu Saiya known as the "Black Pearl" failed in the first round. But her talent show-a Chinese song titled "Painted Heart" helped her gain the qualification for the next round of competition.

The judges said that in the first round of the finals, the contestants grasped the fashion elements of Chinese language and added network catchwords into their speeches. The charm of Chinese language was well represented in their speeches.

The 12 entrants will enter the second round of the finals on July 18, and 6 of them would be qualified for the third round of the finals.
