2016-12-20 17:59:43

The tourism departments from Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces signed an agreement on the tourism cooperation in the city cluster in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River to develop a large regional tourism market in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.

Located in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi boast rich tourism resources, especially the unique red tourism resources. The three provinces are well-known for Yueyang Tower, Yellow Crane Tower, and Pavilion of Prince Teng respectively. Dongting Lake in Hunan and Poyang Lake in Jiangxi, China's freshwater lakes, are connected by the Yangtze River.

The three provinces will boost tourism cooperation in six sectors: to jointly work out the development plan on tourism in the city cluster; to integrate tourism resources and inter-regional tourism products; to jointly develop domestic and overseas tourism market; to promote the restructuring and expansion of tourism enterprises so as to enlarge the tourism market; to establish a unified and orderly tourism market; to create inbound and outbound travel channels, especially the tourist port cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.
