2016-12-20 17:59:24

On July 7, 41 ethnic minority children from Turpan of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and 100 Hunan children participated in the activity in Changsha themed with "Hand in Hand to Consolidate Unity among Children from Hunan and Xinjiang".

Jointly hosted by Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) and CYLC Committee of Turpan, the activity aims to promote communication between children from Hunan and Turpan, guide them to help each other and enhance the mutual friendship. During the activity, they will visit red tourism attractions such as Memorial Hall of Mao Zedong in Shaoshan, Liu Shaoqi's Former Residence, Love Dusk Pavilion on Yuelu Mountain, the First Provincial Normal School of Hunan and the Orange Isle. In addition, meetings and parties will be held to provide a platform for the children to have an in-depth mutual understanding.

"This is my first time to visit Changsha, but I do not feel strange. Friends here treat me just like my brothers and sisters, which has moved me so much." A six-grade student from Town Center Elementary School at Tuokexun County said. "As early as this April, I had correspondence with several pals of similar age from Changsha Lugu Primary School and established good friendship with them."
