Cold Noodle is a delicious and popular snack in Zhangjiajie. I recommend it to you mainly for 3 reasons. Firstly, it’s convenient to get it in streets and alleys. Secondly, it’s quite cheap. Spending 3yuan can make you have a full dish. Thirdly, it’s delicious and spicy which caters for the taste of Zhangjiejie people.

It’s of good flavor but can be simply made. Boil fresh wheat noodles to the degree of nearly cooked, drain it, discard it and cool it. Then, add water mixed with garlic, ginger,Sichuanpeppercorn powder, pepper oil, sesame oil, peanuts, green onion, sliced kelp, sliced cucumber and so on in noodles. Finally, mix them evenly and have it. It’s really tasty and refreshing to have it especially in hot summer.
