Fenghuang Town

Fenghuang (Phoenix) Ancient Town, famous for its stilt houses, folk culture and ethnicgroups, was ever praised as "The most beautiful small town in China".With a history of 1,300 years, the town features distinct residential buildings, elegant bridges plus several mysterious towers and pagodas.Located on the western edge of Hunan Province next to Guizhou, Fenghuang Ancient Town, also known as Phoenix Ancient Town, is one of the most beautiful towns in China.

Furong Town

Originally named Wangcun, Furong town is famous for its majestic waterfall and themansions and administrative buildings and homes as well as a well-known filmentitled "Lotus Flower（Furong）Town", which form a castle like formation providing royal impression.

Biancheng Town-Chadong

Chadong in Huayuan County, popularly known as "Frontier City" (Biancheng Town), is located at the junction of three provinces - Hunan, Sichuan and Guizhou. It is one of the four famous towns in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. Tourists can admire the reflection of bridges and towersin the calm river water and bamboo houses propped up with supports in distance.The place is as tranquil and beautiful as paradise.

Taohuayuan/Peach Blossom Valley

Taohuayuanis a national 4A scenic spot composedof four scenic parts, namely Taoyuan Hill, Taohua (Peach blossom) Hill, Qinren(People of Qin Dynasty) Village, and Taoxian (Fairy of peach blossom) Range..It is ofsignificant historical and cultural value, for it was the origin of the story“The Peach Colony” written by Tao Yuanming, A famous poet in the Jin Dynasty (317-420 AD).

Besides,Taohuayuan is one of the four holy places of Taoism in China, together with E'mei Mountain, Wudang Mountain and Hengshan Mountain. The 35 caves and 46 paradise places there integrate the culture of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism.

Yutou Dong Minority Village

Yutou Dong Minority Village The Dong ethnic minority live in the region delimited by southwest Hunan, south-east Guizhou and north Guangxi. This part of the country often called the “Corridor of Dong culture”.

In Yutou Dong Minority Village of Tongdao Dong Autonomous County, architectural styles dating back to the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties have been well preserved. The village was built between the years of 1368 and 1398,according to archaeologists. There are currently 182 ethnic Dong families living in the village.

Laosicheng Site

Laosicheng,as the largest, earliest and best-preserved ancient Tusi city in China,succeeded in applying for World Cultural Heritageon July 4.

The site of Laosicheng consists of three areas including residentialarea, government office and living quartersfor chieftains, as well as eightstreets, namely, He (River) Street, Zuo (Left)Street, You (Right) Street,Zheng (Middle) Street, Banpo Street, Wutun Street,Yuedu Steet and Dongmen(East Gate) Street.Decorated with neat patterns ofred-brown pebbles, the streets are classic and elegant with earthy style andprofound Tujia features.

Zhangjiajie Natural Sceneries

1.Huanglongdong

Huanglong Cave (Yellow Dragon Cave)Known as one of the longest caves in Asia, the underground karst cave features thegrand view of various stalactites in Zhangjiajie.

2.Tianzi Mountain

At the top of the mountain, visitors can see the full extent of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Beautiful mountainous scenery greets visitors in all seasons.

3.Yuanjiajie Scenic Area

The vistas are worth touring when standing on the No.1 Highest Natural Bridge, are markable stone structure spanning two peaks. The path also passes the newly renamed “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain”, A tie in to the record-breaking film Avatar.

4.Golden Whip Stream

Extending 7.5 km from north to south, the crystal-clear stream is flanked by steepgrotesque peaks and lined with luxuriant old trees.

5.Huangshi Village

Located at an elevation of 1,300 meters, Huangshi Village is the biggest sightseeing platform in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. There is a local saying that anyone who does not reach Huangshi Village does not pay a true visit to Zhangjiajie.

Mangshan Mountain

Mangshan Mountain National Park, located in Yizhang County, Chenzhou, has the most intact subtropical primeval second growth forest and ever green broad-leave forest in the world. It covers 6,000 hectares, and contains both the northernand the southern plants. It has more than 300 varieties of animals. The yellow-breasted pheasant, sika deer, golden cat, and python are first-classstate protected species.

Mangshan Mountain National Park is a complete forest museum with abundant rainfall and rich natural resources.

Dawei Mountain

Dubbed the“Green Pearl of Eastern Hunan”, Dawei Mountain National Forest Park was set up in July 1992 under the approval of the Ministry of Forestry; it lives fully up to its moniker, with its breathtaking natural scenery and abundance of unrivalled, quiet beauty.

Huangsang National Nature Reserve

Huangsang Provincial Geopark in Suining County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, the third geological park in Shaoyang after Baishuidong in Xinshao County and Langshan Mountain in Xinning County, was opened to the public. Huangsang Geopark features tectonic denudation eroded medium-low mountain ravines, covering anarea of 137 square kilometers. The park houses 14 national level and 59 provincial level geological relics.

Suining County is hailed as an unpolluted oasis by UNESCO, for its beautiful eco-environment and splendid natural scenery. Covering an area of 381,300 mu(About 25,547 hectares), Huangsang National Nature Reserve integrates natural landscape with cultural richness, covering five scenic spots, ten karst caves,three waterfalls, myriad picturesque peaks, rocks as well as ancienttrees. In recent years, lots of outdoor enthusiasts have been attracted by its favorable eco-environment, to explore and visit its scenic vicinity.

Zuolong Gorge

As time goes by Zuolong Gorge gained a good reputation - "The first peculiar gorge in south eastern China". Because of its original ecological environment,fresh air and mysterious Tujia customs, Zuolong Gorge is also called “Fairyland on earth”, “I deal world”. In addition, it has a special type of visiting line,that is, all the lines are built in the deep valley, taking full advantage of steep mountains, just like the sculpture carved by nature carefully looking from a distance.

Dongjiang Lake

It is a man-made lake covering 160 square kilometers and is called "Dongting Lake of south Hunan". It has scenic spots such Dongjiang Lake, Doushuai Spirit Caves, Dragon Scenery Park, Hougushan Waterfall,Dongjiang Dam, and more.
