China’s law for Returning Goods after Tourist Shopping
2016-12-20 17:30:21  Zhangjiajie Tourism Information Website

It is a commonly seen problem in tourist shopping dispute that many visitors want to return their goods after tourist shopping, especially in some tourist routes such as Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Here are two fundamental laws related to tourist shopping:

Product Quality Law states that sellers should be responsible for mending, changing or returning goods when one of the following conditions appears in the goods that they sold to buyers:

1.no explanation in advance when the goods have no usability as they are expected to possess;

2.do not meet the product standard indicated adopting on the product or its packaging;

3.do not meet the quality condition indicated on product introduction and samples.

Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Consumers states that if the service or goods offered by sellers cause damage to consumers, sellers should complement goods quantity, return payment for goods and service fees or compensate for loss by the means of repairing, remaking, changing or returning according to customer’s request.
