1.Raven’s cry
When ravens caw on the roof in the morning, or fly in front of someone or circle and caw on the top of one’s head;In addition, if ravens fly back after one beats them away. All those are considered as signs of infelicity.

2.Cuckoo’s cuckooing
In Spring every year, it is usually seen as ominous if somebody hears the cuckooing of cuckoo for the first time when he is in the toilet.

3.Hoot of a owl
Owls are unlucky birds in Tujia people’s eyes. It is said that someone may die in the village if hoot is heard.

4.Twining snakes
It means copulating of snakes. According to legend, if someone sees that scene, he will certainly suffer some disasters soon.
